About Irene
Biography 2011
As a self trained artist, I always experiment and explore every possible way to work in different art forms, expressing my personal creativity and vision. My creativity has no boundaries and no limitations as I am inspired in God’s hand. Thus my spiritual ideas and feelings become an ongoing process in my life, my spontaneous expression share my faith, hope and love on canvas.
During my teen in high school 1972, I learned Chinese brush paintings from Master Fan Sze Deng in Hong Kong. Upon immigration to Canada 1995 I started my new vision with western paintings. I have joined the Willowdale Group of Artists as from 2008 and the Dynasty Watercolour Group in 2010 and Bayview Watercolour Society in 2011. These have given me a chance to meet and learn from the other artists in Toronto. They taught me how to play with colour especially with fluid Acrylic medium, Watercolour, Collage, Mixed medium, Monoprint as well as Chinese ink.

Haiti school project
The school at Zilma, in Haiti Located at Zilma, Northeast Department.
In 1996, Wilfrid Joachin, together with two other people from his area, wanted to do something for the children that were all day long in the street. In a village called Lakuève, in the North-East of the country, a place in the mountains, near the border with the Dominican Republic and cut off from bigger urban centers, they started to gather the children to give them some alphabetisation. This were children that had not the possibility to go to school, because of the poverty of their parents and the isolation they were living in. After several attempts they started a class in 1997 with 44 children, teaching them basic knowledge on a voluntary basis.
